From 8:30am until almost 5:00pm today, we greeted, applauded, cheered, encouraged, rehydrated, and photographed over 2000 walkers, who’d all raised a minimum of $2300 for breast cancer. My earlobes are sunburnt and I don’t even feel tired after as many energy drinks as I poured down my throat today, but I’m sleeping in my own bed and don’t have 20 more miles to walk tomorrow, so I’m not so sure any of my complaints are valid. Plus, you know what? Still no cure for breast cancer, so we’ll all do it all over again tomorrow. And the next year and the next year and the next year until we don’t have to do it anymore.
