This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Sponsored Tweets. All opinions are 100% mine.
I jumped on the Twitter bandwagon close to, I don’t know, three years ago? I use it daily, sometimes more than I should. There are times when I can’t really stand some of the things people feel the need to tweet, but for the most part, I pretty much love it. With the exception for the spammers that manage to sign up and send me direct messages asking me to click on various links.
And now, similar to the Pay Per Post site I’ve used in the past (and am using right now) to give me some writing prompts and make a few extra bucks, the same company has also started a website involving Sponsored Tweets. Here’s what the interface looks like:
Basically, anyone that wants can sign up for sponsored tweets and make a few quick bucks.
While I can definitely see the logic behind agreeing to get paid for the 140 characters you’re probably pecking out on your cell phone keypad, I think I’d generally be irritated by it. IZEA does a good job of trying to regulate what goes out, giving people the opportunity to approve or reject what they’ll be sending out and making full disclosure mandatory. I just don’t think it’s something I’d decide to do. I would reconsider if someone wanted to pay me five million dollars to tweet about something. And I suppose that could be somewhat negotiable.
