For the past couple of years, I've been super annoyed at how my insurance hardly covers any medication that I need. That either results in me trying other crap that's not quite what I need just to save some money or forking over some pretty hefty co-pays for the exact prescription. Take it from me (and my ladyfriend and The Kid and my co-workers), mama needs her medicine.

Well, recently Walgreen's stopped taking my insurance. I attempted to switch pharmacies to avoid outlandish co-pays and the other pharmacy had really crappy customer service and I can't handle dealing with really crappy customer service. So, I called Walgreen's today, after I found out about their whole Walgreens Prescription Savings Club, because it actually saved me a few bucks. And I like saving a few bucks.

Laugh if you want, but if you get their family membership (which is $35), it also gives you some pretty great discounts on generics of all kinds, and their definition of "family" also includes pets. You what's a rip off? Buying pet medication directly from a vet.

Our Walgreen's pharmacy is my favorite. I keep meaning to write a letter about how much I love their customer service. But I've been saying that for a year, so I might be better off drawing them a picture with crayons.

I've covered them in aluminum foil. I've used tape to block the entire opening and filled it with trash. I've helped completely switch two cubes when their cube-dwellers were out of town at the same time. I've also filled them with balloons. I'm crafty like that.

One of these days, after I'm done taking a nap in a bed full of 20 dollar bills, I want to gather all that money up and rename a stadium for a couple of weeks. Qualcomm Stadium (you know, where the Chargers play) is changing it's name just over the holidays to Snapdragon Stadium. Now personally, I'm much more likely to remember Snapdragon Stadium than I am Qualcomm.

It's not a bad idea really as far as advertising goes. During those 11 days (12/18 – 12/29), there's all these crazy large sport games (a co-worker called them that once) taking place there: the Chargers are playing and there are a couple of college bowl games going on, too. That's a lot of media coverage, no?

I want to be on a marketing team one day that says, hey, you know the best way to show all the football fans in the world that Snapdragon processors by Qualcomm are the digital brains inside mobile devices made? We're gonna make everyone talk about watching a game at the Snapdragon! (Again, I'd totally go to a game at a place called Snapdragon!) They're dropping about half a million dollars on an advertising schtick to hype up this little tiny chip that goes into a lot of cell phones that keeps all your favorite apps running. Turns out going to this huge renaming extreme is even cheaper than buying commercial time during the NFL football game that's being held there. That's kinda crazy! But crazy smart, you know?

My phone recently bit the dust. And it bit it hard. The phone was working just fine and then all of a sudden the display stopped working. My cell phone provider's technical support said they hadn't ever had that problem reported before, which I believe is code for "I have no idea how to fix this, but I'm going to make you try 5000 things, all which require something popping up on the display". So, yeah. I was out of phone commission for multiple days. THAT WAS REALLY HARD.

I was browsing around T-Mobile's website for a phone that wouldn't break the bank and that would have that same awesome slideout keyboard that my phone had, because I'm so not ready for that fancy technology of touch screens only. We have unlimited texts on our phone plan, which is super important. Not so much now, but when we first started dating, we were sending over 1000 texts per month. EACH. I'm surprised my thumbs didn't fall off.

With Twitter and Facebook and all that good stuff, the texts have dwindled down, but that's only because we have smartphones that just plug us right in instead of having to scroll through a billion Twitters that I really don't care about.

In any case, I really really love the LG DoublePlay™, which conveniently enough, is only available from T-Mobile. It's got a split keyboard! I'm pretty sure that's all ergonomic and crap. It's got a huge display and a pretty great camera, both must-have qualities for me, mainly because 1) I'm getting old and 2) I like pictures.

Turns out a super awesome friend had the same phone that had originally bit dust and mailed it to me. How awesome is that? Karma, my friends. Well, and having awesome people in your life.

I like contests and I like to vote, especially when it comes to Puppies vs. Babies. I've been a fan of puppies for about, oh, just over 7 years, which coincidentally matches up to how long I've had one. And yes, I consider my 7 year old boxer a puppy. I always will. However, if this whole baby thing works out, I may have a hard time choosing which is cuter between our baby and Riley. Sorry, future child, but that's just the way it is.

I've seen a dog or two that makes me think perhaps someone tried to put it in a paper bag and drown it by throwing it in a lake, but then the bag got dropped and ran over by a dump truck. And I've seen babies who shouldn't leave the house until they're old enough to cover up that ugly with a stylish hat. We can't all be perfect like my puppy and my future kid, right?
