It’s important you all know that the Minnesota Lynx will always have enough room on the bandwagon. I mean, yeah, you’re making my season ticket prices go up and you’re making it harder for me to find a decent place to park at these home games, but I’m just happy you’re finally realizing this is the hottest ticket in town.
We are watching Game 4 of the WNBA Finals. The game is in LA, which means this family of longtime Lynx fans is up past their bedtime to see if those tickets I bought for Game 5 on Wednesday here in Minneapolis are going to get some use.
This team… it’s a Minnesota team, which means they get zero credit for anything exciting. We’re a big market but not a big enough market to warrant anyone outside of our metro area knowing about how amazing this team is.
And it’s a women’s team, which means there might be some local news coverage on the fourth page, unless it’s not the fishing opener or Danny Johannsen didn’t score five touchdowns in high school football.
I’m gonna watch this team wrap up a win that you can credit to their rebounds and make sure I don’t have any meetings for Thursday morning. There’s been a history of winning WNBA champions in odd years (2011, 2013, 2015) and, if the Lynx can keep this up, I’m thinking it might be one hell of a game.
