the kid is saving hearts, folks!

I know I always ask for donations for The 3 Day and don’t worry — that’s coming, too. 

I just got an email today from my third cousin? Fourth cousin? I have no clue. In any case, my great aunt (my favorite great aunt) forwarded an email from Brooke, who is … 7, 8, 9, 10? (I’ve met her once. Lay off.)

This is the email:

We only have one heart! I want to take care of mine and help you take care of yours too! This year my school is participating in Jump Rope for Heart and supporting the American Heart Association by raising money to save lives.

During, Jump Rope For Heart I will learn about taking care of my heart. Heart disease can happen to anyone so it’s really important to be physically active and eat healthy.

She has a fundraising goal of $50. I donated $5. She’s donated $5 and so has her grandma (my great favorite great aunt).
