Not much has changed since celebrating my five year anniversary in Minnesota last year. To celebrate, I watched two Tivo’ed episodes Little People, Big World, had lunch with one of my favorite former co-workers, visited the chiropractor, bought some clothes hangers, and picked up some supplies from IKEA. The evening will probably a lot on the same lines of that level of excitement. I wanted to write something really profound, but anything even remotely close that is completely escaping me.
Tomorrow’s booking up fast. It already includes Grown Up Lady Business Suit Shopping for a (very exciting) follow up interview I have scheduled next week and an interview that just popped up onto my radar yesterday. I figured it might be good to have a backup plan if this follow up interview doesn’t go as well as I would like it to. I’m a fan of backup plans!
I went to Valley West DoItBest Hardware today (that’s the real name), because there are some shelves I need to hang in my kitchen and they’re going to require some dangerously strong support since my dishes are going to be on them. I was completely overwhelmed by the number of screw options (Go ahead and giggle; I did.), so I had to walk up to the counter and ask this adorably hot cashier if I could get some help with screws. I apologized for asking it that way, but he wasn’t even phased. It almost made me want to see if they were hiring. I can’t possibly think hearing jokes about screws and nails would ever get old to my 12-year-old boy sense of humor.
