fine, i like crafts

Not that there was any doubt on whether I’d have time to do it, but I’m happy to say I successfully completed NaBloPoMo by posting every day before I went to bed in November. What you also may not know is that I posted every day in October, too, but only as my own personal challenge. It brings me great pleasure to find Holidailies – posting every day from December 1 – January 1! Hooray for 31 more days of me IN A ROW!

It’s snowing here, which means that every Twin Cities blog and/or journal is mentioning it, and I didn’t want to feel left out. I went grocery shopping last night around 11, just to make sure I had enough supplies to last this horrible, horrible blizzard. (That’s sarcasm.) I did actually get ingredients to make Mint Chocolate Cheesecake Bars, though. I figured I should probably try making it for myself before revealing it to others.

I just got back a bit ago, after braving the weather, from No Coast Craft-O-Rama. Yes, it’s a craft show and yes, I bought things that I absolutely could not live without. It’s impossible not to at these damn things. Because I’m nice, I went to all the trouble of finding the links to the places that I pretty much loved the most.

I made a Christmas gift purchase from the awesome lady at Sheriff Peanut. In hindsight, I would have bought myself something, too. The bibs she has online are adorable; I wish the t-shirts were there, too, because I’d show you about five billion that I absolutely have to have.

Adam Turman. Oh man. When I move in a few months, I have a feeling a few of this fella’s prints are gonna find themselves on the wall alongside Riley’s gigantic mug. This print will likely be the first to join him, and once I have a need for a calendar (you know, like when I work again), it’s gonna be this one that winds up on my cube walls.

Charlie and Sarah make British words fashionably adorable. It was one of those "Hey, if I was employed!" type of booths, because man, their stuff us super cute. I wasn’t surprised to see Jenni custom ordering a hoodie with a Mini on it.

This is the second time I’ve seen stuff by Giraffe Art that I don’t realize I want until I get home. They have the most awesome coasters ever, and if I gave a shit about my coffee table, I’d totally buy them from these guys.

My final, most inappropriate favorite, which is another place that can have my first 3 paychecks is Maybe You Should Die. I’m not explaining any of it. You just have to go look.

Thus concludes my once-a-year rambling about a craft show.

You saw Adam! I work with Adam – he’s our department designer/god.

I just received his St. Anthony Main print as a gift Friday. He’s amazingly talented.
