one more time for good measure

It’s starting to storm here again and it seems pretty severe according to the news. I missed the window of opportunity to take Riley outside before it started pouring, which meant our three minutes outside warranted standing outside while it was lightening. Not the safest thing I’ve ever done, but there are still about two dozen trees left from this weekend’s storm that are still standing. They seemed like better targets than me.
My lights just flickered. If I lose power again, I might have to cry.

I kind of hate Dakota County, because they blow the sirens even when there’s just a severe thunderstorm warning. I’m from Missouri, folks. You blow the sirens when a tornado’s coming and that’s the only time you blow the sirens.

Hmm. I should maybe sleep with pants on tonight. No reason.

fantasy football time

For the past three or four years, I’ve been part of the National Wannabe Football league, and this year will be no exception! (Yes, I’ve done a horrible job at keeping tabs on Fantasy Baseball this year, but football is different – there’s only one or two days a week I need to worry about changing my lineup!)

It’ll be an automatic draft, because I don’t have a lot of time for a manual one, and that’ll be that.

Just follow this link, and if you’re prompted for a password, it’s awesome.

Comment here if you join, and feel free to share the link. I’ll probably close registration at 10 teams, because I hate it when there’s absolutely nobody on waivers to pick up mid-week!

It’ll be a good time!
