a tattoo is a logo… kinda

August 10th, 2007 | 1 Comment | Posted in Internets, Tattoos

With tomorrow being Go Over the Tattoo Idea Day, I figured I should probably at least get some type of a font idea, other than the ones I’d been doodling with at work while waiting for people to pick up the phone when I call. While looking for fonts to download, I ran into a site where you can design a logo online, and funny enough? It’s been given me a pretty good idea on where to go with my tattoo.

I’d originally thought that black and gray was the way to go, but now I’m not convinced I shouldn’t throw a little red in the mix. I mean, who doesn’t like a little black and red thrown into everything? When I put together a very official looking logo online, it sure seemed like it would look good on some business cards or a very large neon-lighted sign.

I sure order some pizza, since I’m done with my nightly nap, and hunt down some more font ideas.

consulting tomorrow

I just called to make an appointment with the man who permanently puts things on my body. I have a consult with him tomorrow at 4, and more than likely getting a new tattoo on Wednesday. I’m so excited that I can’t sit still.

And so far? I’ve managed to only tell THREE five people what I’m getting! That’s a record for me and my fat mouth!

our final fundraiser – a big silent auction

August 10th, 2007 | Comments Off | Posted in The 3 Day '07

Our team has met our $30,000 fundraising goal, so we upped it to $35,000. It seemed like the logical thing to do. We’re currently in 13th place out of over 610 teams that have registered for the Twin Cities 3 Day. How amazing is all of that?

We have one final fundraiser that’s going on right now!

There’s some really awesome stuff to check out!! And please pass this link on to everyone you know, because everyone’s sure to find something they just absolutely positively cannot live without.

they tried to make me go to rehab

For a few months, I’ve had “Rehab” by Amy Winehouse as my cell phone ring tone. It’s distracting, yes, but not overly so. Not as much as my current ring, which happens to be “Crazy Bitch” by Buckcherry. In any case, now that Amy Winehouse is in rehab, the song kind of loses it’s meaning. I mean, good for her that she’s in rehab taking care of problems that need attention, but I don’t think I can listen to that song until she’s out. No, no, no.

And you know why I don’t have her song as my cell phone ring anymore? Glad you asked.

The person in the cube next to me heard my phone ring one day and she asked me where I got the ring tone. I told her I’d downloaded it from T-Mobile’s website, and she said, “That’s so awesome! I have to download it!” (or something like that.) I kind of discounted her excitement and her love for my ring tone until a few days later when I hear “Rehab” ringing from a muffled area.

Since that was my ring tone, I grabbed my phone out of my cargo pants pocket and, oh wait, that’s not my phone ringing. It’s my cube neighbor’s phone!

That’s when I changed over to “You’re a crazy bitch, but you (pause, because apparently T-Moblie isn’t a fan of the F word) so good, I’m on top of it. When I dream I’m doing you all night, scratches all down my back to keep me right on.”
