birthday plans – you’re invited!

March 7th, 2007 | Comments Off | Posted in Me

Looking for something to do this weekend? You can join in on the early birthday celebration of my 29th birthday!

I’ve posted this everywhere, but I’m not too shy to ask the whole internet within driving distance to help me celebrate rockstar style. (But if you want to shoot me with a sniper rifle, please stop reading now.)

Friday:
I’m planning on going to Pi around 8 or 9. I’ve never been there and I want to go, plus hi, dancing. Then I’m heading to The Gay 90′s around 11 for more dancing and more gay. More than likely, we’ll be there until shortly before they close.

Saturday:
Dinner is planned, of course, at Pizza Luce (the real location downtown) at 7pm, and after dinner, we’ll head to Liquor Lyle’s for Happy Hour 2-for-1s and the end of hockey-watching. After that, I do not know, and probably will not care.

That’s pretty much it and it pretty much sounds like the best weekend ever already. Shoot me an email if you want to join us for dinner, because if there are enough people, I’ll make some reservations. Otherwise, give me call during the night and I can fill you in on where I may be located at that very second in time. It’s like the lazy man’s version of stalking.

It’s girls’ night, Paula Abdul is missing, and Ryan has on a turtleneck. Less than one minute into the show and I’m rolling my eyes already. I bitch an awful lot about a show that I can’t miss multiple times a week. We said bye-bye to Alaina Alexander and Leslie Hunt last week, and for those playing at home, I actually guessed one of those right.

Two minutes into the show and Randy Jackson is making comments about Paula being under the table. This could be a long hour.

easily lost, that’s me

I really wanted to go to work with Matt (and Jenni, too) tonight. Apparently when you freelance for a magazine, you get to have bartenders make you special drinks and then write about them. Hello, awesome job.

Instead, I opted to stay at home (after dinner), work on “increasing my pipeline” (how hot does that sound?), and trying to talk myself out of ordering a GPS system for my car from Abt Electronics. As much as I get lost when trying to venture into the scary city of Minneapolis, it would absolutely be a great investment. I just know nothing about any type of car navigation systems, so I can appreciate a site that gives me as much information as I need without going way over my head. And in this case, going over my head isn’t all that hard to do.

So far the cruise, and after I’ve put money away for the multiple other trips I have planned for the rest of the year, GPS system, here I come!

things to do on the internet

  1. We need one more team for Fantasy Baseball. Who’s in? Details are here. Don’t be scared to join!
  2. Register for Boobylicious Bar Trivia! The deadline is next Tuesday, but we’re filling up fast, so don’t forget to get your team on the list! Details here.
  3. RileyCam is on today. I can’t promise anything exciting, but at least it’s there.
  4. Someone find me some lunch! I’ve been in meetings all day and haven’t had time to go get food. I really do not want to make a meal out of Girl Scout cookies.
  5. My birthday celebration is taking place on Saturday. Next weekend is too full of hockey to actually celebrate the whole weekend long (even though I’ll manage, I’m sure). More details for that coming soon – I just wasn’t on the ball this year. LAME.

he’s seriously a baby

Riley & his cowYou know, I posted this picture of Riley yesterday, because I thought it was adorable how he was holding his cow in front of him and actually looking at the camera for once.

But you know when the whole cow thing went from just plain cute to slightly overboard? Last night.

Our nightly routine goes like this. When it’s time for bed, I turn out all the lights, and then take him outside one last time. After he takes care of business, we go back upstairs and go straight to bed.

We went to bed, but he was having a hard time getting comfortable – he was seriously flopping around. Then it was like a light bulb suddenly went off in his puppy head. He needed his cow or he could not sleep.

That’s right. My dog slept with a stuffed cow last night.
