not really well lit

February 22nd, 2007 | 2 Comments | Posted in Me

I really feel like I should have started a category just for apartment-related stuff. There seems to be quite a lot of information I like sharing that has to do with ye ol’ apartment #111. My biggest struggle in interior decorating? Lighting. In new(er) apartments, there are rarely any lights mounted on the ceiling, leaving the tenant to do all of his/her own light-decorations. For me, my lighting situation really sucks.

There aren’t options to hang your own ceiling lights, and if there were, I’m sure it wouldn’t exactly be the wisest of all ideas for Wendy to do things that involve electrical currents. Lamps make the most sense, but I looked for nine months before finding anything that I even remotely liked, and as it turns out, it happened to be the cheapest of all lamps in the town. I’m glad Bathroom Lights aren’t an issue.

Basically, that leaves me with one option – wall lighting. I really, really love wall lighting. If it were up to me, I’d have lines and lines of 60 watt light bulbs lining my living room and bedroom, but there aren’t enough wall outlets to make that little dream of mine come true.

Due to my lack of proper lighting, I probably have the most horribly lit apartment in all of my precious suburb. And also the most smelly, but that’ll be it’s own entry sometime soon if I don’t take care of this odor soon.

ai: and now the top 12 girls

February 22nd, 2007 | 2 Comments | Posted in American Idol, Reality Shows, TV

I fell asleep last night during the top 12 girls’ first performance, so I’m watching it now. It works out, I suppose, because the elimination show happens to fall on Thursday nights in the beginning which interfere with Survivor, and that is a no-no.

The girls are never my favorite. During the past four years (I didn’t watch the first season), I’ve never had a girl that I’ve really wanted to win, except Kimberley Locke. Oh, let’s be honest. I wanted her to get second place, so my gay boyfriend Clay Aiken could have won the whole thing.

From the auditions, I only remember the Antonella chick, and I just read on that there Internets today, that someone found dirty pictures of her online. Oooh, I have scandal!

now you’ve got me involved

022107_SPN_Spears06.jpgFor the love of God and all that is holy, why did she have to go and get a dog involved?

I was okay when it was just a regular ol’ custody battle between a trashy wannabe white-rapper and a trashy used-to-be-awesome pop star. Child support, split custody, that all gets hashed out in court. It’s normal and happens all the time. Everyone always worries about the kids.
But now who’s going to look after the dog when Britney gets put back into rehab for a 650th time? And who’s going to help the puppy when she drops it like she dropped her first kid? That little bitty dog will snap in half. It’s not like little Sean Preston who has bones that were meant to pop back into place when getting dropped onto the floor.

Damn you, media! Damn you all to hell!

and there is nothing else going on in the world

I’ma give you the latest updates in Hollywood right now, and then you can just stop reading the Internets for the rest of your life.

Britney Spears? Crazy. And not the song.

Kevin Federline? Not such a bad idea anymore, now, is he?

Anna Nicole Smith? Dead

Howard K. Stern? Douchebag

Dancing With the Stars? lots of wash-ups

Marcia Cross? twin girls

Tom Brady/Bridget Moynahan? Someone poked a hole in someone else’s condom.

Usually I love all this entertainment gossip, but all of a sudden, it’s hit a dry-spell when it comes to quality and I’d like it to kind of stop or something.
