Two workouts in two days and they’re getting recorded in the same post. I’m resourceful like that.
I know all of you aren’t into it, so I’ll throw the details in an extended entry. I’m nice. Remember?
Thursday, I went back to the gym. My arms were still really sore from the arm work the previous two days, but I guess that happens when you let muscles go dormant over the winter.
3 minute warm up on the treadmill
12 minutes on the treadmill – .63 miles/3.15 mph
65lbs – 8x, 6x; 55lbs 10x, 8x
The bench pressing sucked because of my arms. The weight wasn’t heavy at all. My upper arms just burned in a somewhat bad way when doing my reps. I was pissed, too, because I love benching at the gym when it’s packed.
I was on my own tonight, because my gym buddy was going out of town. He left me with instructions on what to do the next three days on my own, though. And Friday night, of course, means the gym is dead. I drove to the gym, did my whole work out and was back home in less than an hour. It helps that the gym is exactly one mile from my garage parking spot, too.
25 minutes on the elliptical trainer – 2.05 miles/4.92 mph
Curls (free weights)
10lbs – 10x, 10x, 10; 12.5lbs – 10x, 10x
Military Presses (free weights)
10lbs -Â 10x, 10x; 15lbs – 10x
Seated Leg Press
75lbs – 12x; 95lbs – 10x, 10x; 115lbs – 8x, 8x
8lbs – 8x, 8x, 8x
I was just supposed to do all of the arm stuff, but I decided to be an overachiever and throw in some legs, too. I know I won’t be doing any more arms the rest of the weekend because of how bad I hurt now and also because they’re not on my list of things to do.
Gym-wise, the rest of the weekend is some running, biking, and leg fun.
